We have a wonderful display of embroidered items from traditional smocking to modern Textile Arts pieces as part of the National Trust’s Heritage Festival. This year the theme “Conflict and Compassion” relates to the centenary of the Anzac landing and leads us up to Anzac day next week.
Join us at The Geelong Wintergarden, 51 McKillop Street Geelong from 9am to 4pm on Friday 17th to Sunday 19th April.
A special part of the display is 2 original embroidererd postcards sent from France by Jock McQuat, a Geelong ANZAC to his sweetheart.
You can also see the postcards that our members have stitched as a challenge on the theme.
